Yes you can, as long as you continue with the rods in combination with a new pattern St. I would suggest you try a shell … (2DC, CH 2, 2 dc) in same st or space. You could do 3 or 5 cups with a space between them, then several DC and repeat depending on the number of pcs in the line.
