Why is it so hard to find Bob The Builder toys in Canada?

Jarrett Lee asked:

I’m kinda amazed that when I go to local toy-stores all I can seem to find are Diego and Dora toys, for the most part (in terms of licensed toys) although luckily there’s plenty of stuff from Cars (Pixar).

Thing is – my son LOVES Bob the Builder. He cannot get enough of that show. This seems like a hugely untapped merchandise market. Is there anywhere in Canada that sells BTB Toys? Any idea why there are so few of them?

  1. Bob the Builder was a HUGE toy line about 3-4 years ago. Unfortunately the shows popularity cooled off as fewer new episodes were being made available and with that the toys started to become scarce.

There was suppost to be a newer line of BTB toys based on The New Adventures Of Bob The Builder series but not much of that ever made it to any of the big retailers.

BTB toys were produced by RC2 or The Learning Curve Company. Here is a link where you can check who should be selling the toys in your part of the country. Where I am it says you should be able to try Mastermind, Scholar’s Choice and Toys Toys Toys.

    Good luck.
