England – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soccer

The common knowledge is Great Britain. It was a spin off of rugby. The Aztec’s however, played a very similar form of soccer as well. They made rubber balls from rubber tree’s. You can go to the Aztec ruins and you will see the football fields. I am sure other ancient cultures played a similar game as well.

The English invented football and rugby during the year 1868 in London,it was professor’s of Oxford and Cambridge during a lunch break , they saw people kicking and chasing a round object , liked what they saw and made rules and so Football was born, from there it spread all over the world.Go to GOOGLE i am sure you will find the info you want their.

I am not sure but rugby and England is not right, the rugby or Rugger was a running game but with the idea that you can grab the ball in you hands and run with it, and that is certainly not soccer, and soccer is much less violent and bloody than rugger, soccer also does not have scrums where you hang on your mates shoulders and kick your opponents in the head as hard as you possibly can
