Not known. It is a universal game and perhaps it was instinct to kick something back then too. The English did not invent it, they just made some of the rules and popularised it.
The book Vocabula was written by city teacher David Wedderburn in 1633, more than 200 years before the Football Association (FA) was formed in England.
The book is the first evidence of a passing game with goalkeepers and players passing the ball to score goals.
Soccer was inveted around 611 b.c. in japan. They played with leather balls. Japan and China teams played against each other
Ebenezer Cobb Morley is regarded as the “father of football”.
The history of association football, which is usually known simply as football, can be traced to traditional football games played in Europe in ancient times. However, the modern game has its roots in the formation of the The Football Association (FA) in England in 1863. Several clubs met in London, to create a universal code, that would allow clubs to play each other without dispute. At the time, football clubs all played by their own, individual codes of rules, and game-day rules had to be agreed upon before they could play one another.
