stop eating high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, and anything hydrogenated (it goes straight to your gut), and do some sit ups, crunches, .. pretty much any ab workout.

fat is fat you can not target it.
eat less fried foods and spend 1 hr per day walking up stairs
sit ups push ups anything where you are not just sitting will help

You should run and do some crunches.
– Don’t do extreme ab exercises yet because if you have belly fat and work out your abs, you’ll look even bigger.
Stay away from fatty and greasy food.

Regular sit ups
Sit ups with legs in air for lower abs
Sit ups with legs turned to either side to get the love handles. (don’t do too many or will develop muscles instead of loosing the fat)
It’s good that you want to stop the belly fat before it gets to be a problem. You should do all your exercises for body maintenance but the above should help you target the different muscles in your stomach. Remember not to pull on your neck. You also don’t have to sit up all the way but go up part way. Be careful of your back!!!

hey, i have the same prob as you…and i also need answers. but my mom told me that she lost quite a lot of weight after having me. she started by stretching for 5 whole minutes…running in place…jump roping …and lieing down and lifiting her legs together to form an L shape…and sometimes she did sit ups. she said it helped her lose 10 lbs.
i also heard aobut this machine on tv…It’s called RED…and is $15 … and ppl on the commercial said it helped them lose 8-10 lbs in 2 weeks. i’ve been meaning to try it…but haven’t had the time.

Ok….you can do Cardio exercises. That will definitely reduce your stomach…most will say do crunches sit ups and other thins but if there’s more than an 1 inch of fat around your waste then that type of work out will do absolutely nothing for you. First you have to target the fat by burning it not toning the muscle that’s underneath it….if you did that then you wouldn’t see any results. That seems to be the probably with most people who target their belly fat with ab exercises without loosing the fat first….once you slim that area down then you can start in-cooperating some ab exercise to get definition in that area.
Hope that makes sense to you and is helpful….believe me it works. I wish I can show you my before picture and where I’ve come thus far. IT WORKS!

Exercise the abdominal region. If you arebehind a desk all day..move the chair back and straightenout your legs and raise them up and lower them slowly in10 reps. This will help the ab muscles. Also. I would rec a low carbdiet for a while…Not a drastic die just have (a half a bag of chips instead of a whole one etc)

Relacor (mispelled), You need relacor, you know that commercial…….I hate it!!!
You are smart to take notice now before it gets too big, it’s not healthy to have an enlarged belly.
But, seriously, in answer to you question, I would say the old-fashioned tried and trusted diet and exercise!!!
All of these quick weight loss and exercise gimmicks are just making someone else rich and filling our houses with useless stuff!

When I was trying to loose weight I cut down how much I ate compared to what I was eating before. I.e. I used to eat 2 hamburgers now I eat only 1 or with pasta I’d have a huge bowl and now I eat less then half that.
The hardest thing to do is to just know when your full to stop. Once you get that “I’m done” feeling just stop. Don’t worry about finishing the plate or taking one more bite, once your full then put your fork down!!
Also cut out soda completely (if you drink it) soda adds alot of pounds that most people don’t realize. If your anything like me and water just doesn’t do it for you try flavored water or all natural lemonade and fruit punch. Make sure that if you do buy/drink the fruit punch that its all punch and not 3% juice lol Look by the orange juice and see what you local store has to offer.
As far as exercise I asked a similar question myself

Belly dancing! It’s fun to do and you can do it to music. Next choice would be tummy crunches. Make sure you do them regularly though.

The best way to rid of your mid-section is to do intense cardio. You can do sit ups as well, which would help with toning. Sit-ups and crunches only tone, and you will have to burn the layer(s) of fat on top of the muscles if you want to see the results of all those sit-ups. Core training helps as well. When doing your cardio try using the sauna sweat belt, its will run you under $10 you can get it from your gym or local sporting good store.
As far as what to eat, definitely limit your sugar intake.

Crunches won’t cut it. You probably have fairly strong abdominal muscles under the layer of fat.
The most effective and efficient way to lose body fat is a combination of diet and exercise.
Diet: You know what food is healthy and what isn’t. Eat mostly healthy food and watch your portion sizes.
Exercise: Crunches won’t cut it. You need a combination of cardiovascular exercise and weight training. For cardio, anything that gets your heartrate up is good. For weight training, push-ups and sit-ups are good. If you can get to a gym, use the weight machines there. Adding lean muscle helps your body burn fat.

This mostly pertains to your diet. Many people don’t realize this. A bad diet will ruin any workout routine you have. Do not simply do crunches. You will get abs that way, but they will develop beneath the fat in your abdominal region. You won’t see them until you eliminate that excess fat. Since you can’t make your body focus on losing weight in one area you have do cardiovascular exercises regularly and work on your entire body. If you jog for about an hour or two for 3 to 4 days a week and eat healthy that belly will wither away because this will kickstart metabolism into high gear. Also, try not to eat past say 7 or 8 PM when you’re least active. Your body has no use for the fuel and will just store it as even more fat. If you’re going to be out and about late at night it’s ok. As long as you’re active and will burn what you eat. As far as diet goes. The hard part for most is staying away from processed food like fast food. Avoid junk food for awhile and then reintroduce into your life in moderate doses. Eat lots of vegetables, poultry, and fish. This will enable you to build muscle and lose fat. It’s the best of both worlds. Hope all this helps. Good luck, bud!

The healthiest way to prevent a fat stomach is by ensuring that your weight is normal for your height. Ensure that the energy provided by the food you eat matches the energy you burn performing your daily activities. You can reduce belly fat by doing exercises like walking, swimming and rowing. Such activities help in supplying enough oxygen to the body to burn fat.More info at http://www.toloseweight.org/losestomachfat.html
