Google Tech Talks June 16, 2008 ABSTRACT Explore the brain’s amazing ability to change throughout a person’s life. This phenomenon—called neuroplasticty—is the science behind brain fitness, and it has been called one of the most extraordinary scientific discoveries of the 20th century. PBS had recently aired this special, The Brain Fitness Program, which explains the brain’s complexities in a way that both scientists and people with no scientific background can appreciate. This is opportunity to learn more about how our minds work—and to find out more about the latest in cutting-edge brain research, from the founder of Posit Science and creator of the Brain Fitness Program software, Dr. Michael Merzenich. Speaker: Dr. Michael Merzenich, Ph.D. Michael M. Merzenich, PhD: Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Merzenich leads the company’s scientific team. For more than three decades, Dr. Merzenich has been a leading pioneer in brain plasticity research. He is the Francis A. Sooy Professor at the Keck Center for Integrative Neurosciences at UCSF. 23. lol? libtards

  24. I agree? with JR 100%

  25. @arad7613 In English, we pronounce the word dog with the sound a patach makes, Not a kholam. Kholam makes the long o [as in "alone" (yes, in Hebrew it makes that sound too)]. Job is spelled with a? kholam, so I think this is a simple accent issue. What you should try doing is showing people how to properly pronounce Jesus.

  26. JR cut? that shit out talking bout cats

  27. JR hating on? the bruins man!

  28. @Split539 Yes, it’s an ‘oh’. But not an ‘oa’.

    Like dog,? not like bone.

  29. @arad7613
Definitely aware of the J issue. This is an American pronunciation after all, and we had in the past, some weird affinity to convert Js to Ys and vice versa. But, the vowel kholam makes an ‘oh’ sound, as in Leshana tova, Moshe and sukkot. I know you dont? say “leshana tah-vah.’

  30. @Split539 Hebrew is? my first language. They taught you wrong.

There is no ‘J’ in Hebrew either. So he can’t possibly be called Jobe.

  31. @arad7613?
I guess they taught me wrong in Hebrew school. Probably not, though.

  32. it actually is pronounced the way u said it ana, its pronounced J-oh-B but spelled like job, its an old biblical name, just? correcting that there.

  33. @thelivingfire He was wielding a pipe? bomb and two grenades!

  34. OMG there is someone running on the field hurry we better taze him he could be a terrorist! What a crock of shit! When did we become such fucking pussies in this country? I remember a time when the worst thing that could happen to you if you decided to streak across the field is that would get you ass beat and thrown into jail with a fine isnt that punishment? enough? if it is not broke dont try to fix it

  35. Congratulations? Cathy!
