a winger and a right mid are the same position, but wen ppl refer to the term "winger" there strategy of scoring is by taking it down the wings (sides of the field) with the "wingers" and letting them cross it into the center so the team can score!!! they are the same position but one is a strategic term. wen there is a in/direct free kick, it is 10 yards away, be sure to remember that if u are taking the kick..if the ref hasnt already moved the wall back, ask for ten yards, unless u hav a player with great accuracy with there kick, you can take a quick freekick caatching the team off guard!! taht is very effective, just like how Manchester United beat Lille in champions league with gigg's fast freekick. tho there was alot of argument, giggs didnt aske for ten yards so he was allowed to take the kick whenever. if you ask for ten and the ref has to porperly measure it, you have to wait for the whistle!! a lttle tip of extra info....its offside, not offsides!!! no plural...thats not really important...but it is!

A winger is anyone who runs up and down the sides of the field. A winger is the same as a right or left mid. The wall on a free kick has to be 10 yards away from the ball.

Distance between the wall and kicker is 9,15 metters ... in teory.
A inger is not the same as right/left middle.
Considering a typycal 3-4-3 formation (3 defenders, 4 middles and 3 forwards):
---------------- Goalkeeper ----------------
RightDefender -- Central defender -- LeftDefender
RightWinger -- RighMidfielder -- LeftMidfielder -- LeftWinger
----- RightForward-- CentralForw -- LeftForward

they are most likely considered the same position. and the ref will require the player to be 10 yards away from the kicker. u should also find some goalie tips for ur new team.

a winger can also be a right or left forward when you play with three forwards. when in a free kick the wall has to be 9-10 feet away.

they are the same positions, although wingers in the modern game are a lot more defensive apart from exceptional players like ronaldo, ronaldinho, messi.the wall has to be 10 yards away.

A recent change to the rules means the wall stays at least 10 metres away from the free kick + or - 8 metres. If the free kicker is handsome the wall may advance close-up to him (two within 2 metres) to look at his handsomness. If the freekicker is ugly they may retreat from him up to eight more metres. This is so they can comment on his ugliness without offending him.
The handsomness of each player is decieded by a group of ladies (and some gays) at the start of the season. No player may have a haircut during the season that might change his net handsomness.

Firstly the wall has to be ten yards from the position of the ball. In the traditional 4-3-3 formation you have 4 defenders (and goalkeeper behing the back 4), 3 midfielders (1 right, 1 left and 1 middle) and 3 forwards (again 1 right, 1 left and 1 middle). The forwards are traditionally called right wing, left wing and centre forward. But with managers changing formations the midfield and forwards can be interchangeable.
For more info on formations and coaching try the web site of the football association. www.fa.com (I think)
