@silverpizza100 Could you make a video demonstrating how to use the neem oil mixed with soap and water, wrapping the pot in plastic and the coffee filter method for killing the gnats and their eggs? It would be very helpful to see how its done.

I like how she’s removes the plant and shakes off the fungus gnat infested soil, RIGHT next to her new soil. She doesn’t wash her hands before even touching the new soil. The possibility of her simply transferring larvae and flies is greatly increased. Take your plant, remove it from the pot while outside, spread the dirt around a tree or something, gently rinse the root system with warm water, go back inside, re pot with new unopened soil. Keep separate from your other plants.

aza max is made from neem oil,,,, Mix you neem oil a little thicker and use warm water, then seal the pot air tight, use coffee filter for air excange and u can water it as well, just cut a hole in plastic and tape the filter to in, pour water on filter to water it,,, should help reinfestation.
by silverpizza100 on September 3, 2010 at 10:48 pm.
She is 100 percent wrong!!!!!!!!! Use neem oil mixed with warm water and soap, Drentch the soil, this will kill the eggs and gnats/. Then wrap pot in plastic and seal it air tight. Use a coffee filter cut a hold in plastic and tape cut filter to the hole. This will allow u to water and roots to get air with keeping everything out. She dont garden but I do!!!!!!!!!

Woah U do way much for some gnats. Just spray the base of your plants with non-oil dish soap and water the gnats will dissapear. Or buy Diatomaceous Earth for soil it pretty much kills any aphid for GOOD!

I used:
Equal parts of Water and White Vinegar, and then a little bit of laundry detergent to break the surface tension of the water! Mix it a bit, and I put a cup of this in every room in my house, they go CRAZY for these cups, and Ive had such a bad infestation that theres been 10 more every couple of hours in the cups. It REALLY WORKS, fruit flies or fungus gnats or drain gnats, all three like these cups.
