HOW TO BACKFLIP STEPS: 1: Understand that you should not flip unless you are properly prepared and have proper supervision. 2: You need to be able to get as much hight as possible (make sure not to throw your head back, It will ruin your chance at getting hight) 3: Using your arms (No BENT elbows) and your legs together jump straight up. 4: Now that you are in the air slam your knees up to your chest. 5: As your body starts to rotate over let your knees rotate to your hands and grab your shins and tuck as tight as possible. 6: Look back and spot the ground 7: Time it right and start to release your legs and untuck. (Try not to open to early.) 8: Land on the balls of your feet

Learn how to do a back flip on a trampoline. This is an easy way to learn and it seems to work for all my friends. I am not an expert. This is just a technique that I found that works.

  11. If I was training with you, it wouldn’t be a good idea for you to spot me, since I weigh considerably more than you do. I do have a goal of at least trying,? if not succesfully completing a backflip by my 40th birthday later this year, but at the pace I’m going, I may be able to do a backflip long before that. And I don’t have a trampoline, gym, or a spotter available to me. All I have is a ball field about six blocks away with a wood pellet box with steps that I might flip off of first.

  12. The way to get over your fear is to have someone spot you. My parkour group leader put one hand on my back and I flipped but if I didn’t rotate enough he could rotate me or vice versa. After you try that for a while it becomes natural?

  22. @yodacasper? i just learned it the other day on a huge jumping pillow, i started by going over my shoulder and only just landing, this was because i wasnt jumping very high, then i jumped high and went straight over my head and landed it. there was another excercise i did which was hold onto twwo poles pretty close to each other then jump (keep holding onto the poles until your done) and do a backflip, and keep progressing so you let go before you land and try keep getting higher and higher.

  23. i? thing the ambulence came because someone did a backflip and hurt himself

  24. Man, I’ve been trying to do? a back flip but whenever I’m about to do it, I psyche myself out and end up landing on my head (tweaked my neck just last week, my fault for not tucking). I can land a front flip easy but the back flip just terrifies me, no Idea why, anyone have any tips to get over this mental block? Good tut nonetheless, just this damn mental block screwing me up.

  25. @LaFlairParkour I think it is because I put to much thought into it. Yesterday, I went to a gym and just went for it into foam with out too much thought and I did pretty? good at it.
