How do I get rid of odorous house ants in my bathroom…lots of em?
Question by Mark E: How do I get rid of odorous house ants in my bathroom…lots of em?
These pesky odorous house ants are about to drive me out of my bathroom. Any and all suggestions of effective ant killer is greatly appreciated. HELP…ants are holding me captive in my own house.
Thanks

It is just about impossible to get rid of those pesky critters I’ve had them off and on for years now. I use Grants ant bait and it does seem to help.
Boric acid is poisonous to children and pets

Sprinkle boric acid powder where you seem them. It is NOT poisonous, so you can put it in your cabinets, etc. Just sprinkle it and let them walk through it. They will take it back to their nest with them and it will kill the nest off. I had really bad carpenter ants a few years ago and the boric acid powder (bought at Walgreens – says it for roaches, etc.) worked great!

they are an outside ant coming in though they don’t create an ant bed like other ants…look around loose leaf matter, mulch, ground cover. It’s easy to tell when you find the colony and treat it when found. Usually near lots of moisture, chronic problems with them can indicate a water problem such as a leaky pipe / shower pan. Can treat them with anything.
Boric acid is many times more toxic than any other insecticide you will buy or have placed out by a pro.
