to knit lace with Kerin, designer for Knit Picks learn. In this lesson, Kerin is on the basics of handling and selection of lace yarn. They also discussed various uses of spikes in various knitting projects.

@ Seikjo If you have a decrease by a thread pair, should your stitch count the same as doing a yarn over adds a stitch to stay and a decrease takes you away. Also, if during an entire row, you knit a total of four times 2M zus and do a total of two yarn overs, you actually get rid of only 2 stitches, knit 4 although it has 2M zus right (since you also added 2 of 2 yarn overs). Hope that helps clear things!

I have a kind of problem … I’m afraid that if I decreasing it down by the project smaller, after all I have to keep making a project, I think, thinner, and I’m afraid if I keep on doing the YO and K2tog it that my project will do. I’ve noticed the problem immediately, rather than too late ….

@ Dexwin1 Hello, and yes – the Kerin who designed the scarf you mentioned. Is there a particular line, so that some thought or first row you knit 2M zus right after markers are placed, the line would be 3? Are you making all the yarn overs of stitches that the peak to grow larger as the chart shows, allow to add? We need to know a little more info to see where things go wrong, please let us know and we will do our best to put things in order for you!

Nice video =) I’m pretty familiar with knitting lace, but I wonder whether (for beginners) you fingering / sock weight yarn could substitute for peak weight, and go to the lacie yarns?
