Do you get annoyed with people who try to press a narrow standard of beauty on others?

I don’t think there is one standard of beauty. I remember working with some African children. They were some of the most beautiful children I have ever seen. These were kids from Somalia, Nigeria, Kenya, and Liberia. They had unique features common to people in their country. Not everyone in Africa looks the same, but they were all beautiful.

I think there is alot of beauty in Asian, Arabic, East Indian, Native American, and Latino cultures. Beauty is everywhere.

These are some of the people who are beautiful to me.

Gabrielle Union
Eva Longoria
Angelina Jolie
Scarlett Johanssen
Courtney Cox
Gwenyth Paltrow
Halle Berry
Kimberly Elise
Salli Richardson-Whitfield
Salma Hayek
Jill Marie Jones(formerly of Girlfriends)
Megan Good
Maya Campbell
Natalie Portman
Vanessa Marcil
Victoria Rowell

They are all beautiful, but they meet different standards of beauty.

  1. honey there are beatiful people all OVER THE WORLD. some people just love to think that white people are the best when they’re not

  2. Almost every Black woman you named was fair or lightskinned.

  3. So loblg88, if that white guy like light-skinned blacks than he like light-skinned blacks. who cares?

  4. I gave you a star. When I read what you’ve written it was like breathing in fresh and sweet smelling air. It was very nice and kind of you. Almost shocking I must say. There’s beauty in every continent. Thanks.

By the way I love this woman, Nidise Disosa, with all my heart. She is from Congo-Kinshasa and lives in Belgium.

  5. Megan good is a good example of a dark black woman.

  6. some of the most beautiful people i know are very dark Sudanese; others are Asian; Amerindian; Caucasian; Malayo-Polynesian; Afroamerican……. i think part of the problem is getting to recognize the beauty in what is new or/and unusual to us. i’m very fortunate in that i see a wide variety of people almost every day. the first time i saw a really dark African it was kind of a shock; all i saw was how dark they were, how different to what i was familiar with. now i have several friends who are very dark, and they are so beautiful. the first time i saw a Berber lady with ****** tattoos, i saw her as an exotic beauty. with familiarity, she will still be beautiful, but in her own right, not as an exotic ‘specimen’.

  7. If you are a good person, then you
    are beautiful.
It sounds cheesy, but it’s true! :)
